Hatgadh Fort, Dang District, GujaratLocated in the Indian state of Maharashtra, the Hatgadh Fort is in the south of the hill station of Saputara, near the border of Gujarat. The fort stands at an elevation of about 3, 600 ft and was built by the Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the 17th century.

Architecture of Hatgadh Fort
Built on the highest peak of the Shyadri ranges, the Hatgadh Fort is constructed from rocks of the same hill. The fort is surrounded by thick walls and the steps leading up to the fort are rocks carved steps that provide a great trekking experience for tourists. Located atop a hill, the Hatgadh Fort has two large water tanks dug on monolith rocks along with a statue of Lord Ganesha, which is placed on top of the fort.
