Located in the city of Gokak in Belgaum district of the Indian state of Karnataka, the Gokak Fort is close to the confluence of the two rivers, Markandeya and Ghataprabha. The city of Gokak was built in 1853 and the Gokak Fort was also built around that time in the 16th century. Currently, the Gokak Fort stands in a state of ruin and can be spotted at the western side of the city.
