Ganesha Ashtothram or Astothara Sathnamavali is generally chanted while performing the rituals related to the worship of Lord Ganesha. The hymn is also recited during Vinayaka Chavithi.

Ganesha Ashtothram, Mantra of Lord GaneshaLord Ganesha Ashtothram, also known as Astothara Sathnamavali, is one of the mantras of Lord Ganesha. The Ganesha Ashtothram is generally chanted while performing the rituals related to the worship of Lord Ganesha. The devotional hymn includes the 108 names of the elephant-headed deity. The religious mantra can also be recited daily and especially on Wednesdays. The Astothara Sathnamavali is also recited during Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganesh Chaturthi. It is believed that chanting the hymn will bring material and spiritual prosperity to the devotee and remove all the obstructions in his life.
