Ganesha Ashtakam, Mantra of Lord GaneshaGanesha Ashtakam is among the powerful mantras of Lord Ganesha. The devotional hymn is also known as Ganesha Astagam and Vinayagar Asthakam. The Mahapuranas and the Upapuranas mention that the daily recitation of Ganesha Ashtakam or Ganeshashtakam will help the devotee to achieve success in all spheres.

The religious hymn of Ganesha Ashtakam can be recited as follows-

If a person chants the Ganesha Ashtakam for three times a day for three days, all his works will be met with success. If the hymn is chanted for eight times for eight days or for eight weeks, then on the fourth day of the moon phase, the person would achieve the eight occult powers. If a person recites the mantra for ten times a day for a period of one month, then he would be freed from all sins and all punishments. A person, who chants the Ganesha Ashtakam for twenty one weeks with utmost devotion, would receive divine knowledge and the person would also be blessed with children. If a devotee meditates on Lord Ganesha with devotion then he would receive Moksha or salvation and acquire the blessings of the deity.
