Dharuhera

An industrial town of the northern state of India is Dharuhera. It is situated in the Rewari district of Harayana. The national capital of India, Delhi is located 70 km. southwest of Dharuhera. This industrial town is well connected to Delhi and other nearby places .The nearest airport is at New Delhi and the closest railway station is at Rewari. Dharuhera is situated on the cross junction of National Highway 8 and the Rewari-Sohna-Palwal State Highway.

Dharuhera is located between 28.22° North latitude and 76.78° East longitude and a height of 244 metres (800 feet) above mean sea level.

According to the 2001 census report, Dharuhera had a population of 18,890 inhabitants. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43% of the population. In Dharuhera, 17% of the population is less than six years of age. This census town has an average literacy rate of 67%,which is higher than the national average rate which is 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 75% and the female literacy rate is 56%.

Being an industrial town, the place is famous for auto industry, its spinning mills and chemical industries. The monuments at Rewari are worth visiting in the neighbourhood.
