One of the subdivisions of Udaipur district of Rajasthan is a small census town called Dhariawad. Udaipur, the district headquarters is located at a distance of 120 km. from Dhariawad. It is the river city of Udaipur district and has more than five rivers flowing through the town. The nearest railway station and airport are at Udaipur.
Prince Sahasmal, the second son of Maharana Pratap, founded this town in the middle of the 19th century. Surrounded by the magnificent Aravalli ranges, Dhariawad is the settlement of the Bhil tribes.
