Devikapuram, Tamil NaduDevikapuram is located in Tiruvannamalai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a town panchayat also known as Devigai. The town is known for its temples and silk sarees. Devikapuram is situated in the Arani Taluk adjacent to the road connecting Polur and Chetput. The town is located on the eastern side of Polur, on the western side of Vandavasi, on the southern side of Arani and on the north eastern side of Tiruvannamalai.

Pilgrimage Centres in Devikapuram
Devikapuram is an important pilgrimage centre visited by devotees from different places. Some of the significant temples located here are: Ponmalai Nathar Temple, Adhiparasakthi Temple, Periyanayagi Amman Temple and Balamurugan Temple. Apart from these there are few other minor temples for the village gods.

Economy of Devikapuram
The main source of income for the residents of Devikapuram is agriculture. They specialize in the production of rice and sugarcane. Apart from this the town also focuses on the manufacturing of silk sarees.

Devikapuram is well connected by different modes of transport. It is situated on the State Highway 115. Tourists can also avail the buses plying from the neighbouring cities like Arni (21 km), Vellore (60 km), Thiruvannamalai (50 km), Polur (14 km), Chetput (12 km) and Chennai (150 km). The nearest railway station is located at Polur. The nearby domestic and international airports are located at Chennai at a distance of 150 kms and Bengaluru at a distance of 350 kms.
