Dalip Tahil, Indian ActorDalip Tahil is renowned theatre, television and film actor from India who has acted in many Bollywood films like Baazigar, Ram Lakhan, Ishq , Soldier, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai , Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Partner, Ra.One and many others. Dalip Tahil is mainly popular as a villain, although sometimes he has portrayed roles of a father or a business tycoon. He was born on October 30, 1952 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Dalip Tahil completed his studies from the prestigious Sherwood College in Nainital and later graduated from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

Career of Dalip Tahil
Dalip Tahil made his acting debut playing a minor role in the 1974 film Ankur and his first breakthrough role in the 1980 is Ramesh Sippy`s film Shaan. He appeared in more than 100 Bollywood films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, mostly playing character and villain roles. His roles were diverse and ranged from the main villain, henchman, father, relative and police officer. Dalip Tahil also had a brief appearance in the highly acclaimed 1982 international award-winning film Gandhi and Merchant-Ivory English films: The Deceivers and The Perfect Murder (both released in 1988). His most notable Bollywood film roles include Baazigar, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Deewana, Ishq, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, King Uncle, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke He returned to Bollywood after a short break, and appeared in the films Shakalaka Boom Boom, Partner (2007) and Race (2008)

Dalip Tahil played roles in Sanjay Khan`s television serial The Sword of Tipu Sultan and Ramesh Sippy`s Buniyaad on television. He got international recognition when he played the character of Dan Ferreira in the popular British BBC television soap opera East Enders in 2003. He has appeared in many Indian stage plays and internationally he is best recognized for starring in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals Bombay Dreams and Evita in the London West End. In 2007 Tahil was featured in Nuclear Secrets, a mini-series on BBC2, in the episode Terror Traders, where he portrayed the role of Pakistani scientist A.Q Khan.
