Chandra Mahal is located inside the City Palace complex of Jaipur, Rajsthan. It has seven floors; seven is considered to be auspicious by the Rajput rulers. The first two floors of Chandra Mahal comprise of "Sukh Niwas" followed by the "Rang Mahal" and "Chhavi Niwas" with its decorations of blue and white colours. The last two floors were named "Shri Niwas" and "Mukut Mandir". Mukut Mandir is literally the crowning pavilion of this palace with a bangaldar roof. Bangaldar roof has the royal standard of Jaipur, which was hoisted all the times and a quarter flag as well when the Maharaja was in residence.
