Chadwick Falls, ShimlaThe Chadwick Falls in Shimla fall from a height of 1586 metres. It is surrounded by the dense Glen Forest, which is about 7 km away from the Summer Hill Chowk. The thicket of pine and deodar tress gives the place an exotic look and adds a sense of peace and serenity in the atmosphere. The water of the Chadwick Falls appears to be like scattered crystals and flows with a forceful rapidness from the Himalayas. The water is increased during post-monsoon and is extremely chilly and refreshing.

Chadwick Falls is also popular for a number of ancient temples. On the top of the hill the temple of Kamana Devi is located. Tourists throng this place during the month of April when there is a fair.

Ideal time to visit the Chadwick Falls is between July to October when the water level is drastically high. The magic of the waterfall can be truly experienced under the night sky on a full moon night when the water shines like crystals and one can view the panoramic vista of the surrounding area.

The Shimla Airport is 20 km away from the falls, and the nearest railway station is Shimla station at a distance of 1 km.
