Brahma Dung Chung Ani Gompa or nunnery is located 12 km away from Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh. It was commissioned by Karchen Yeshi Gelek Lama from the Tsang province of Tibet in 1595 AD. It is the oldest ani gompa or nunnery in Tawang District, which houses almost 45 nuns or anis in it. Inhabitants of Brahma Dung Chung Ani Gompa are generally dependant on the alms provided by the people.
