Ameen Peer Dargah, Kadapa, Andhra PradeshLocated in the Kadapa district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, the Ameen Peer Dargah is a Sufi shrine that is locally known as Badi Dargah and Pedda Dargah in Telegu language. Affiliated to the religion of Islam and under the Chistiya branch, the main purpose of the shrine is to preach communal harmony.

History of Ameen Peer Dargah
Constructed in 1683, the Ameen Peer Dargah was originally the resting place for the two Sufi saints Perullah Hussaini and Arufulla Hussaini II. The erstwhile Nawab of Sidhout Taluk, Nawab Neknam Khan changed the name of this place to Neknamabaad on the advice of Perullah Hussaini. Eventually, Neknamabaad came to be known as Kadapa.

The Ameen Peer Dargah is one of the famous and well-know pilgrimage spot in India and notable figures like Bollywood actors to politicians have visited this shrine.
