Early Life of Abhijeet Bhattacharya
Abhijeet Bhattacharya was born on 30th October 1958 to a Bengali family in Mumbai. He is the youngest of four siblings. He did his matriculation from Ramakrishna Mission Higher Secondary School, Kanpur and completed his schooling from BNSD Inter College Chunni Ganj, Kanpur. In 1977 he did his graduation from Christ Church College, Kanpur in commerce.

Career of Abhijeet Bhattacharya
Abhijeet Bhattacharya began delivering stage performances from the year 1970. In the year 1981, he left his home for Mumbai for pursuing a career in Chartered Accountancy. However his fascination for music inspired him to earn recognition in the field of playback singing. He got a call from the famed musician Rahul Dev Burman for playback singing in the film Anand Aur Anand, featuring the son of Dev Anand. In the film he received the golden opportunity to perform with his idol Kishore Kumar.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Indian Playback Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya established himself as a playback singer in 1990s. He voiced a number of popular songs in a plethora of Hindi films and worked with prominent music directors. Some of his admired songs are `Har kasam se badi hai`, `Chandni raat hai`, `Ek chanchal shokh hasina` from the movie Baaghi which were composed by Anand-Milind. In the year 1994 he lent his voice for the songs in films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Raja Babu, Anjaam and Yeh Dillagi. Other movies in which Abhijeet worked as a playback singer include Main Hoon Na, Chalte Chalte, Dhadkan, Josh, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Baadshah, Yes Boss and others. He has lent his voice for several renowned actors of Indian film industry. He has also worked with many noted playback singers of Bollywood such as Asha Bhosle,Lata Mangeshkar, Anuradha Paudwal, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, K.S. Chithra, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy and many others.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya has also worked as a judge in a reality shows including Ek Se Badhkar Ek and Star Voice of India. The singer also has pop music albums to his credit. His non film music albums include Tere Bina, Tapori No.1, Lamhe and Main Deewana Hoon.

Achievements of Abhijeet Bhattacharya
Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been honoured with various awards for his marvellous singing. In 1998, he received Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for the song `Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaon` from Yes Boss. He also won Star Screen Award for Best Male Playback for the song `Chand Taare` from the movie Yes Boss. He has also received Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman.
