Kkoi Dil Main Hain is another popular Balaji production and is the story of love and friendship that binds two girls named Kajal and Krittika through all their bliss and plights. They are the best of friends and inspite of hailing from different backgrounds they remain united. They are as different as chalk and cheese with different expectations from life, different ideals, different values and opinions from striking different worlds. Soon after the girl from the poor background Kajal falls in love with the industrialist Samay, the world of these two friends change forever. Both are head over heels in love with each other but unfortunately due to some adverse circumstances they could not get married to each other. Samay ends up marrying the rich brat Krittika.
Essentially Kkoi Dil Main Hain is a show based on the different and adverse effects that the socio-economic background have on the relationship and the conflict arises soon after the matrimonial alliance between Samay and Krittika. The equations completely change and the two best friends are found to be competing with each other. This one-hour weekly starred the debutant Poorva Gokhale as Kajal and Karishma Tanna meted out the role of Krittika.
Taking a cue from the success of the very popular romantic soap by Balaji Productions titled 'Kahiin To Hoga', Kkoi Dil Main Hain has fresh looking oldies Kiran Juneja as the mother of the lead male protagonist Samay. Chitra Joshi essays the character of his aunt. In the Initial states the role of Samay was played by Sandeep D and then by Hiten Tejwani. The small screen heartthrob Eijaz Khan enacted the role of his younger brother. The brilliant starcast of Kkoi Dil Main Hain manages to take the soap to such heights where the show enjoyed soaring popularity for a considerable span of time. The young and dedicated lovers can relate themselves with the twists and turns in the life of onscreen characters.
Shot in the tinsel town Kkoi Dil Main Hain found itself almost at the top of the charts from the initial to the ultimate stages. The soap was directed by Ravindra Gautam, the former director of the 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' fame and was conceived by the soap queen bee Ekta Kapoor herself.
The casting was done keeping in mind the fact that there was a requirement of fresh faces. Karishma Tanna was considered obvious for the role of the lead as she was relatively free and had nothing much to portray in the Balaji blockbuster show 'Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and also because she looks quite trendy hence she was an obvious choice. The soap being a showstopper was much favorite of the audience and after the show went off air the audiences were very much disappointed. The fans want this type of soap to go on sir again in the near future.
