Also known as Victory Gate, the Bhadkal Gate was constructed to commemorate the victory against the Mughals in 1612. It is one of the most famous, oldest and biggest of all the other gates in Aurangabad.
The Bhadkal Gate is located in the city of Aurangabad in the state of Maharashtra. It was built by Murtaza Nizamshah's Vazir Malik Ambar, the ruler of Ahmednagar, now located in Ahmednagar District. The gate is known for its unique architectural style and is India’s first column structural building. Currently, it is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.
