Aihole Fort
Aihole Fort was a 12th Century fort which are in ruins at present. The Meguti Temple has been built on its ruins.

Aihole Fort was fortified by the late Chalukya kings during the 12th century. The remnants of the Aihole Fort are located on a small hillock in Karnataka. The fort walls which are barely 10 feet have been restored recently. At the top of the hill, where the fort is supposed to have been located, is the Meguti Temple. The Meguti Temple is probably the oldest structure in Aihole.
