Ashlesha Sawant is an Indian television actress who has acted in many small screen serials. She has gained popularity from her character of Preeti Sameer Deshpande in ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’, which was telecasted in Star Plus channel. In the year 2007, she was nominated in Indian Telly Awards for ‘Saat Phere’ in the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Some of her other TV series are ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kammal’, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, ‘Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat’, ‘Kahiin To Hoga’, 'Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand’, ‘Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar’ etc.
Early Life of Ashlesha Sawant
Ashlesha Sawant was born on 14th March 1982 in Pune, Maharashtra. Her father was in the Air Force. After the completion of her 12th Standard, she went for local modeling for one year. Along with this, she started to prepare for the ‘Gladrags’ contest.
Career of Ashlesha Sawant
Ashlesha Sawant started her television career with ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, which was telecasted in Star Plus channel in the year 2000. In 2003, she by a chance got selected in Balaji Production House’s audition for ‘Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat’. But unfortunately the shooting did not start and so she got the chance to play the role of Rishab Bajaj’s associate in ‘Kasautii ZIndagii Kay’. Later, she portrayed the role of Sonai Amar Mehra in ‘Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat’; the soap was broadcasted in Sony Entertainment Television channel in 2002. Some of her current popular TV series are ‘Porus’, ‘Mayavi Maling’, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ etc.
