Sony Entertainment Television, Indian Television Channel Sony Entertainment Television, or popularly called Sony TV or SET, is the premier channel of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) and one of India's most popular Hindi general entertainment channels. It was launched in October 1995 and the network has carried famed long-running TV programmes ‘CID’ and ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The channel, on completion of 21 years, unveiled its new logo and brand identity while premiering ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on November 19, 2016. Sony MAX, Indian Television Channel Sony Max is another prime channel under the Sony brand of SPNI, launched in December 1999. It broadcasts a popular library of Hindi movies, along with the famed T20 cricket tournament, the Indian Premier League (IPL). It launched its HD feed on December 25, 2015. It is supplemented by Sony Max 2 launched in 2014, airing classic and evergreen Hindi films, and Sony Wah, a free-to-air Hindi movie channel launched in 2016. SAB TV, Indian Television Channel SAB TV or Sony Sab is another main brand of SPNI, an entertainment channel specializing in family shows and events. It was launched in April 1999 and its HD version was launched in September 2016 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The channel was carried by comedy series ‘Yes Boss’ that ran for over 10 years and today ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, still running popularly on the channel since its launch in July 2008. Sony PIX, Indian Television Channel Sony PIX is another popular movie channel of SPNI, broadcasting Hollywood movies. It was launched in September 2008.
