Ltd. in order to provide its viewers with the high ranking Hollywood Blockbuster Movies. As a popular entertainment channel, Sony PIX has a well contained movie library that includes movies from Columbia, Disney, Warner Bros and MGM and excites the Hollywood movie lovers.

Sony PIX has till now been popularly known for its variety of movies. Along with this, the channel has made special efforts to fill the gap between Hollywood and Bollywood. This channel is taking pains to build an Indian identity through customized programmes. Sony PIX has also premiered Aparna Sen"s movie, "15, Park Avenue". PIX had also decided to pay a tribute to two directors – Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen – in the month of May in 2007. The line-up begins with Martin"s films: "Raging Bull", "Taxi Driver", "New York, New York" and "Age of Innocence". Some of Woody Allen"s films that will be showcased include "Everything That You Always Wanted To Know About Sex", "Interiors", "Manhattan", "Husband and Wives" and "Crime and Misdemeanours".

Like other channels and particularly Star TV, Sony Entertainment too went a step ahead by launching this English movie channel that made Sony a comprehensive channel. Now along with the popular Hindi channels and daily soap serials of Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt. Ltd., this channel too added new glory to the channel which now expanded all over the world.

Accreditations for Sony PIX
Currently, Sony PIX has been credited for beating Star Movies in the Prime Time Week which gave it a second opportunity to become the No.1 English movie channel. Along with this, the channel has gained the right to show all the latest releases of Sony Picture"s exclusive on Sony PIX.

Thus, Sony PIX has entered into an exclusive deal with Sony Entertainment Television in which it has gained the proprietorship of featuring all the Hollywood TV Premiers and latest hits.
