Beaches of Maharashtra
Maharashtra is located in the western coast of India. This state boasts of 720 kilometers of long stretch of shoreline along the Arabian Sea which extends from Dahanu and Bordi in the north up to Goa proceeding southwards. Some of the beaches in Maharashtra are Alibaug beach, Diveagar, Ganpatipule beach, Shriwardhan-Harihareshwar, Kelwa Beach, Mandwa and Kihim, Nagaon Beach, Shiroda Beach, Shrivardhan Beach, Tarkarli Beach, Velneshwar beach, Vichumbe Beach, Aksa Beach, Girgaum Chowpatty Beach, Juhu beach, Kalamb Beach, and Marve Beach. These beaches are bordered by Arabian Sea on its west, known as Konkan Coast. Most of the beaches are located near the Konkan Coasts. In these beaches water sports and adventure tourism are the main attractions.
