Early Life of Mohit Raina
Mohit Raina was born on 14th August 1982 in Kashmir. He was brought up in Jammu where he did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jammu. He left Jammu after graduating with a degree in commerce from Jammu University. Once he completed his degree, he left Jammu and moved to Mumbai for pursuing Chartered Accountancy. Along with his studies, he also used to manage somehow his passion of acting. To pave a way for acting, he decided to join modelling and lost almost 30 kgs for same. He was prior of 107 kgs.
Career of Mohit Raina
Mohit Raina moved to Mumbai and began a career in modelling. He was placed among the top 5 contestants in "Grasim Mr. India" modelling contest in the year 2005. His acting career began in 2004 when he acted in a science fiction TV show called "Antariksh". In 2008, he starred as Jai Kishan in the comedy film "Don Muthu Swami".
In 2009 he appeared in the TV series "Chehra", a suspense drama revolving around a handicapped girl. He was also a part of "Bandini". In December 2010, Mohit Raina played the male lead in the show "Ganga Kii Dheej". In 2011, he was cast as the lead in Nikhil Sinhas "Devon Ke Dev - Mahadev". Raina worked on improving his physique for the role, and started learning the Indian classical dance form Kathak, which is integral part of his role as Shiva. He was awarded for "Best Actor in Lead Role, Jury" in year 2013 with "Indian Telly Awards" for TV mythological soap "Devon Ke Dev-Mahadev".
