He studied at Bishop Cotton School in Shimla and graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. He used to play cricket at Machiwara. He bats right-handed, and his bowling style is slow left-arm orthodox. Branching into acting, he made his debut in "Kaya Taran", a television adaptation of a Malayalam short story by N. S. Madhavan. He is presently doing a movie "The Little Godfather", directed by Joy Augustine. Angad has also appeared in a cooking show called "Cook Na Kaho" on Star One. He was hosting a reality television show called "Emotional Atyachar" on UTV Bindass before being replaced by Pravesh Rana. He has participated on Colors’ show "Khatron Ke Khiladi".
