She was born on 31 January, 1990 in New Delhi to Gopal Kochhar and Komal Kochhar. Her father owns an advertising, marketing and Real Estate agency of his own and her mother served as a teacher for 18 years. She attended Vasant Valley School and received her graduation degree from The British School with an I.B. diploma.
Career of Tahira Kochhar
Tahira began her career as a model since her college days. She has worked as a model for several editorials, ad films and magazine product shoots. She was the face of J.J. Vallaya`s Grand Finale Poster and Press advertisements. She has also walked the ramp for J.J. Vallaya at WIFW. Soon she established herself as a Delhi Ramp Model. She was also a finalist in the Femina Miss India, 2010.
She made her Bollywood debut in the year 2011 with the comedy film Rabba Main Kya Karoon opposite Akash Chopra, grandson of yesteryear film-maker, the late Ramanand Sagar. The film was directed by National award winning director Amrit Sagar Chopra. It also starred Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Tinu Anand and Shakti Kapoor in prominent roles.
