Rong Bull is located at 57 kilometres towards South from District head quarters Namchi. It is 36 kilometres away from the State capital of Sikkim, Gangtok.

Rongbull is blessed with many tea gardens. Different valleys, waterfalls and endless stretches of Blue Mountains of the Himalayan Mountain range offer an astonishing sight to the tourists. This valley is also well-known for Indrani waterfall which is 3 kilometres away from the tea estate and is famous for its rainbow formation. Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and Kurseong are also other attractions of Rongbull.
Trekking to the nearby Indrani Waterfall attracts a large number of sports lovers. Angling in Balasun River is also another option for the people.
Another attraction of Rongbull is the Tiger Hill which is only 10 kilometres away from Rongbull. During sunrise and sunset, people can see the golden colour over the Kanchenjungha peak. There is a mall also which allows people to experience the local culture through shopping and eateries. The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute founded by Tenzin Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary is also located here. Rongbull also provides basic mountaineering training to interested tourists.
