Om Prakash Kohli is an Indian politician hailing from Delhi. He is the well known face in national political scenario. He is the former member of Rajya Sabha.
Om Prakash Kohli is currently serving as the Governor of Gujarat. He was president of Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party from the year 1999-2000.
Om Prakash Kohli also served as a member of Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2000. He has been elected as the President of Delhi University Teacher's Association (DUTA) and of the ABVP, the student unit of Bharatiya Janata Party.
Om Prakash Kohli did his masters degree in Hindi language from University of Delhi. He was appointed as the lecturer at Hansraj College and Deshbandhu College for over 37 years. Om Prakash Kohli was arrested under MISA during the Emergency, that is in 1970's, during the Prime Ministership of Indira Gandhi.
Om Prakash Kohli expressed his ideas on social politics by writing books on varied topics. He has written the three books in Hindi language namely 'Rashtriya Suraksha Ke Morche Par', 'Shiksha Niti' and 'Bhaktikal Ke Santon Ki Samajik Chetna'.
