Flora of Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary
Semi-Evergreen Forests and virgin Tropical Evergreen Forests are observed in the Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary, besides a wide variety of Indian flora. A major portion of this sanctuary is covered with rich growths of Bamboo and other kinds of vegetation. Such kind of dense forests act as natural habitats of several wild creatures residing here. Different kinds of botanical plants are also present in the sanctuary.
Fauna of Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary
The sanctuary possesses numerous wild beasts including Tiger, Hoolock Gibbon, Barking Deer, Elephant, Leaf Monkey, Clouded Leopard, Gaur, Rhesus Macaque, Sambhar, Common Langur, Wild Boar and many more. Tragopan, Sun-Bird, Hornbill, Thrush, Pen-Pheasant, Flower-Pecker and others are a few of the birds which dwell in this sanctuary.
