 Culture of Yanam District, is a combination of Telugu and French traditions and customs, and portrays the culture of the regional residents of this area who are generally polite and hospitable. French language is also the official language of Puducherry and it was declared so by the Treaty of Cession, which had been signed by France and India on 28th May, 1956.
