Suneet Varma's Le Spice was young, hip and trendy. Prˆt was made fabulously funky and sporty in its use of colours, fabrics, and silhouettes and detailing. The predominant colour in the palette was cool white, with bursts of summer colours like citrus lemons, sunny yellows, tomato reds, candy pinks, orange and sky blues. Cottons, chiffons and knits were used to create capris, knee length skirts, pants, shorts, tunics and shifts, slinky dresses, corsets, tee shirts and blouses. Detailing came in form of miniature pleats, knit trims, thread embroidery in spontaneous floral-cluster patterns, and wacky Afro prints and appliqu‚s of embellished with sequins. Funky matching embroidered belts, and unusual footwear accessorized the collection.
"Sex and the City" was the name for Suneet Verma's Le Spice collection. This was a sophisticated line for the city girl who is taking a summer trip-so there were lots of soft pinks, oranges, embellished denims and polka dots. Though there was one theme for this collection, Suneet presented six different lines. The first had a military feel with a short bolero style military detail worn over a dress really caught ones eye. Tie and dye was another favourite and was used strongly in his second line. His polka dot collection looked perfect for a Sunday brunch in a caf‚. From this Suneet effortlessly moved into a more evening collection, with gold sequin belts, and tie and dye prints. The colour theme too was fresh with lilacs and soft turquoises. Lastly he presented a more bold casual evening line - bold prints in bright purples, yellows and oranges. Halters tops worn with bikini bottoms continued the resort wear theme. The whole collection was very young and had a fresh feel.
Suneet Varma presents his first ever diffusion line called -'Uncensored'. The collection represented the youthful bohemia of the concept of mismatch. As opposed to being perfectly coordinated for Couture; the easy separation was more relaxed and easy to coordinate with once existing wardrobe. The mismatch of badla embroidery on chiffon combined with traditional textiles and embroideries worked cohesively.
