Early Life of Gauhar Khan
This bombshell was born into a Muslim family in Pune, Maharashtra. She is the youngest of 5 siblings and the sister of Indian Television and Bollywood actress, Nigar Khan. She completed her schooling from Mount Carmel Convent School, Pune.

Her career has seen several broad vistas as she explored numerous branches and acted in a couple of television ads Ford Ikon and Tanishq jewellery. She has also modelled for Manish Malhotra. In 2002, she participated in Femina Miss India contest and came fourth and Represented in India in Miss International contest that year. She ruled Indian Fashion World for four years 2002-2006.
Gauhar Khan started her career in television with appearances in a couple of music videos She has anchored the film gossip show Page 3 on Zoom Television. She had even participated in a popular celebrity dance show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa where she ended up as the runner up. Gauhar Khan along with her sister Nigaar Khan appeared in a TV show "The Khan Sisters" which was Indian version of "Keeping up with the Kardashians". The show follows their life including modelling shows, auditions and interviews though the copious and prolific setting of these starlets suggests much is thespian.
In Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 she gave a tough competition to Gurmeet Choudhary, who later became the winner of the show. Gauhar started her career with the 2003 film Miss India: The Mystery. She ransacked the dance domain with an item number for the 2004 Madhur Bhandarkar film, Aan: Men at Work. She has played an important role in the Yash Raj film, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year starring Ranbir Kapoor, which was on the rampage in December 2009. Recently she did another item song Parda Parda which became very famous of 2010 release Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. She has also acted in a supporting role in Ishaqzaade.
