The church was however redesigned in the year 1772 by a Venetian architect, Tirreto. St Luke`s Church is also enlisted among the oldest churches of Bihar. The construction of the church began in 1827 and was completed in 1830. The church is popular owing to its exquisite wooden carvings. The Immaculate Conception Church is located in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand. Established in 1902, the church was built by Archdiocese of Calcutta to honor the golden jubilee of the Immaculate Conception. Saint Paul`s Cathedral is also situated in Ranchi. It is an old church, which was built in 1870. This gigantic church is a fine representation of gothic style of architecture.
