Lodh Falls is located on the Burha River, deep in the dense forest of the Chota Nagpur Plateau Region. Lodh Falls is a waterfall with multiple distinct drops in relatively close succession. There is a Knick point, also called a nick point that represents the break in slopes in the longitudinal outline of a river caused by rejuvenation. The break in channel gradient allows water to fall vertically giving rise to a waterfall.
The picturesque location of this waterfall is a treat to the eyes. It is said that one can hear the thundering sound of the fall even by standing at a distance of 10 km from it. The waterfall is about 143 meters high. This tiered type of waterfall is joined by several other water-streams. This can only be noticed when one goes closer to the waterfall. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery. This is an ideal place for picnic and photography. The suitable time to visit this waterfall is January. During this time the water level is low and therefore there is less danger from the several streams in the waterfall.
