Dishisvara Shiva Temple, OrissaDishisvar Shiva Temple, an ancient Hindu temple, is located in Bhubaneshwar in the Indian state of Orissa. The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, enshrines a Sivalingam within a circular yonipitha, installed inside the sanctum sanctorum or garbhagriha.

This religious edifice dating back to 15th century is a private owned property. The temple constructed enclosed within a private compound is surrounded by vertical rising skyscrapers and residential buildings on the eastern, western and southern sides and streets on the northern side.

Dishisvar Shiva Temple, reflecting the aesthetic and ingenious sagacity of the artisans, confirms itself to the kalingan architectural style. The monument has been chiefly built of laterite with the usage of dry masonry construction technique.

Failing to stand the test of time, the temple presently, is in a dilapidated condition owing to the growth and development of vegetation scattered all over superstructure and also in the adjacent areas. Cracks have developed in the roof and in the conjunction of the pagas. Earlier the temple repaired and renovated by the State Archaeology during X and XI Finance Commission Award.
