Legend of Bhadra Maruti Temple
According to a legendary tale Khuldabad was earlier ruled by a noble king named Bhadrasena. He was a staunch devotee of Lord Rama and often sang songs in his honour and praise. It is said that once day Lord Hanuman descended to this place to listen to the devotional songs of Lord Rama. He was so captivated by the songs that unknowingly he took a reclining posture known as 'Bhava-samadhi' that happens to be a yogic posture. After completing his songs King Bhadrasen was amazed to see the Lord in samadhi before him. He offered his prayers to the Lord and requested him to reside in this location forever and bestow his blessings on the devotees visiting the temple.
