Legend of Baiju Temple
According to the Hindu mythology, there was a boy named Baiju of the Bhil tribe who was taught by Lord Vishnu about the worshipping of the Gods. He was asked to pour water on the Shiva Lingam but since he had no vessel full of water, he instead filled his mouth with water and poured it upon the lingam. This innocent simplistic act pleased Lord Shiva and he appeared before the boy. It is said, since that event the temple was named after this boy.
