Lord Shiva is the prime figure of the divine Trinity of Hindu Gods, which also includes Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu. Lord Brahma is the creator; Lord Vishnu is the preserver and Lord Shiva is venerated as a spiritual guide and destroyer of creation. Vimanika Comics, a Golden Cursor award winning Comics Publisher in India, has launched the comics in order to provide a detailed account of the legend of Shiva. The storyline is based on well researched content, illustrated with stylized artwork and digitally enhanced graphics and colours.

Lord Shiva is believed to have taught Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu about the Vedas in order to facilitate the entire process of creation. Lord Shiva is considered as the archetype of spiritualism, devotion and Vedic knowledge. Shiva, also known as Mahadev and Bholenath, is believed to always help the innocent and those devotees who are in problem. The legend of Lord Shiva describes the significance of spiritualism in Vedic culture and the victory of good over all other evil elements.

The upcoming issues of Shiva: The Legends of The Immortal (Book 1) will present authentic and detailed Hindu mythology, illustrated in a very graphic style. The different volumes will depict the various tales related to Lord Shiva that will reveal various characteristics and complex personality of the widely worshipped Hindu deity. The first issue, The Legends of The Immortal (Book 1) will deals with the story related to the origin of the universe, early years of Lord Shiva and his marriage with Sati.
