Zee Cine Awards is a viewer’s choice award ceremony in which the film professionals belonging to the Hindi film industry are honoured for their technical and artistic excellence. It is an esteemed event which was introduced in the year 1998. The award ceremony witnesses the congregation of various Bollywood personalities and bright luminaries who gather to celebrate the works and achievements of Indian cinema. Scintillating performances and award presentations grace the event. Zee Cine Awards is organized by the entire Zee network. Awards are given under varied categories to commemorate the works of film personalities in different fields.
14th Zee Cine Awards
14th Zee Cine Awards was organized on 8th February 2014 in Mumbai for honouring the best films of the year 2013. The event was aired on 23rd February on multiple channels. It was co-hosted by Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan. The Bollywood flicks of 2013 featured some of the very talented actresses who bestowed spellbinding performances in diverse roles. The nominations for Zee Cine Awards for Best Actress category in 2014 included Sonam Kapoor for Raanjhanaa, Shraddha Kapoor for Aashiqui 2, Parineeti Chopra for Shuddh Desi Romance and Deepika Padukone for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Chennai Express. Deepika Padukone walked away with the award for the movie Chennai Express.
