IIFA Awards or International Indian Film Academy Awards is an annual award ceremony in which awards are presented by the International Indian Film Academy for honouring the technical and artistic excellence of the film professionals belonging to the Hindi film industry. This esteemed award ceremony also helps in promoting the Indian cinema at the international arena. The year 2000 marks its inception and since then the event is held at various places of the globe. In this three day celebration, awards are conferred under varied categories as recognition to the works of Hindi film professionals in various cinematic fields.
15th IIFA Awards
15th IIFA Awards took place in the year 2014 from 23rd to 26th April and was organized at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, in the United States. The event honoured the best films of the year 2013 and was co-anchored by the Bollywood actors Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor. Bollywood flicks of 2013 featured some of the outstanding actors who marked their presence even in the supporting roles through their spectacular performances. The nominations for IIFA Awards for Best Supporting Actor enlisted Aditya Roy Kapur for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Anupam Kher for Special 26, Nawazuddin Siddiqui for The Lunchbox, Pawan Malhotra for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Saurabh Shukla for Jolly LLB. The award was won by Aditya Roy Kapur for the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Aditya Roy Kapur is a popular Hindi film actor who rose to fame with his blockbuster movie Aashiqui 2. In the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani he portrayed the role of Avinash 'Avi' Arora. His performance in the film was met by critical and commercial appreciations.
