All India Radio, Shimla is a Capital Station in Himachal Pradesh having started functioning on 16th June, 1955. This is located at HPT Complex at Baldian in the year 1975.

Family Welfare: Programs on the themes of Health & Family safety continued in different formats. Program entitled "Radio Doctor" is an interview based program with Medical Expert continued at the station. Yuv-Vani Program: Yuv-Vani program is being broadcasted everyday at 6:30p.m. for half an hour. This program is pretty popular among the Youth. It is presented by the Youth, who have been appropriately auditioned by the station. Programs were planned according to the likings of the Youth. On the listener’s requests weekly, "Hello Yuv-Vani" program has been introduced. SMS based program has been introduced on Monday and Wednesday.

Children Programs: It broadcasts "Bal Sabha" (Children) program once a week for a period of 60 minutes. Short stories, songs, features, listener’s letters, skits etc. figured in this program during the year.
