Film Career of Raima Sen
The film Godmother was the debut movie of Raima Sen, which was a critically acclaimed success. Despite her minor role, she looked equally important and significant in comparison to the protagonist, played by Shabana Azmi. She then starred in the film Daman playing the character of Raveena Tandon's daughter. The turning point in Raima Sen's acting career came with the role in the Rituparno Ghosh's film Chokher Bali. She won much praise for her role as the simple, subservient wife of Tollywood hero Prasenjit. After a few more average movies she went for a critically acclaimed hit in 2005 with the Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film Parineeta. In the movie she played the role of a playmate of the film's newcomer Vidya Balan. Since then she has had two more hits among which one is the action thriller movie Dus and the other is the Bengali film Antar Mahal. She also appeared as the heroine of the film The Bong Connection co-starring Shayan Munshi. Directed by Anjan Dutta, this film brought about the versatile feature of this actress. She was next featured in the hit Tollywood movie Anuranan by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. The film premiered at the 2006 International Film Festival of India. Raima next essayed the role of a princess in the movie Eklavya: The Royal Guard. She also acted in the multi starrer movie Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. Raima gave her another powerhouse performance in Khela with Prasenjit and Manisha Koirala and in The Japanese Wife with Rahul Bose. She was also a part of the hit Tollywood movie Natobar Not Out. Other movies of Raima Sen include a thriller Manorama Six Feet Under, with Baishe Srabon, Maach Mishti and More, I, Me, aur Main, Hawa Bodol and many more. She has also acted in south Indian movies.

Personal life of Raima Sen
Raima Sen was born as Raima Dev Varma on November 11, 1979 to Moonmoon Sen and Bharat Dev Varma. She is the grand daughter of legendary actress Suchitra Sen. Her sister, Riya Sen, is also an actress in the Bollywood industry. Their father Bharat Deva Varma is the scion of the former royal family of Tripura state. Her paternal grandmother Ila Devi was the princess of Cooch Behar, West Bengal while her younger sister Maharani Gayatri Devi happens to be the Maharani of Jaipur.
