Lohagarh Fort: The construction of this fort was an invaluable contribution by Maharaja Suraj Mal. the main strength of the fort lie in its inaccessibility. Safe in the protection of this fort the Jats had fought several battles and won them too. One of the well known fights was with the British. Defeated the British were compelled to sign an agreement with the Jats. The name of this fort literally means made of iron.
Bharatpur Government Museum: This museum is located in the middle of the Lohagarh fort. Excavations were carried out on a large scale in the neighboring villages of Mailah, Noh, Bayana, Bareh and others. These belonged to the Kuslian period.
Jawahar Burj and Fateh Burj: These towers symbolize the victory of the Jats over the Mughals and the British.
The Bharatpur Palaces: The palaces in Bharatpur had been converted into heritage hotels. Laxmi Vilas Palace and Chandra Mahal Haveli are some of he heritage hotels here. These are also visited by the tourists.
Keoladeo National Park: It is also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. This is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in the world. a host of migratory birds flock to this place for laying eggs and rearing the young ones. The otherwise listless place comes alive with the chirping of different kinds of birds. Keoladeo National Park is one of the main attractions of Bharatpur.
