Gurudwara Bhangani Sahib is situated in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Gurudwara Bhangani Sahib is about 6 kilometres away from Paonta Sahib Gurudwara and can be reached by driving all the way through some long narrow dusty roads that show the way through a couple of small villages.
History of Gurudwara Bhangani Sahib
Gurudwara Bhangani Sahib has a rich and colourful history. The Gurudwara has been associated with the battle of Bhangani. Raja Bhim Chand along with Raja Fateh Chand of Garhwa, who was a close friend of Guruji and relative of Raja Bhim Chand, with many other Rajas of the Sivalik Hills were decided to fight in opposition to Guru Gobind Singh. Therefore, the Battle of Bhangani took place which was later won by Guru Gobind Singh. Ultimate rights of Sikhs who were martyred in the battle of Bhangani took place in the Gurudwara as well. This Gurudwara was built in the remembrance of the battle victims, which signifies triumph and power of the unity of Sikhs.
Architecture of Gurudwara Bhangani Sahib
Gurudwara Bhangani Sahib is a beautiful architectural creation. It stands in the centre of some green fields. It is being refurbished with marble floors which are being constructed around it. Surrounded by the Darbar Sahib or most important hall is also constructed with marble. At present, sewa of the Gurudwara is executed by Sant Baba Pritam Singh Ji from Ludhiana in Punjab.
