Pattinam is a panchayat town situated in the Namakkal district of the south Indian state of India, Tamil Nadu. The town of Pattinam is divided into 15 wards. It has total administration over 2,412 houses to which it supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
Demographics of Pattinam
The Indian Census report published in 2001 throws light on certain demographical facts like literacy rate, status of the population of the town. On the basis of 2001 India census, Pattinam had a population of 8187 of which the males constitute 51% and the females 49%. As per the same report, 10% of the population in Pattinam was under 6 years of age. The average literacy rate of Pattinam was 58% which is lower than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy was 67%, and female literacy was 50%.
