18th Khanda of Second Chapter of Chandogya Upanishad states about the meditation on the Revati Saman.
Chandogya Upanishad, written on the Vedic Brahmana is one of the oldest Upanishads. It is related with Sama Veda and has been ranked ninth in the Muktika canon of hundred and eight Upanishadas. Chandogya Upanishad is the part of Chandogya Brahaman that consists of eight chapters. The 18th Khanda of Second Chapter of Chandogya Upanishad states about the meditation on the Revati Saman. Here, the goat is the syllable Him, the sheep is the Prastava, the cows are the Udgitha, the horses are the Pratihara and the man is the Nidhana. It is the Revati Saman interwoven in animals. One who knows this and realises the Revati Samans as interwoven in animals possesses the animals, lives his full life and radiates with glow. He is blessed with children and cattle and also earns great name and fame.
