Each mount in the palm is symbolic to a particular planet in astrology, and represents the same qualities in a person. It is said in palmistry that the particular features of the different planets are revealed in the consequent mounts. The planet, which is said to be more prominent, is also considered as more important in the palm.
The different mounts in palmistry are as follows -
Mount of Venus: Mount of Venus bestows one with love, physical appearance, inclination for arts and beauty, sense of aesthetics, luxuries in life, love for good food and wine, sensualities, romance, compassion, etc. A well balanced raised mount with pink tinge indicates well-balanced aspects in all these fields. On the other hand, an underdeveloped mount reflects the person lacking in all the senses of Venus. Moreover, an overdeveloped Venus depicts the person's overindulgence in several activities.
Mount of Moon: The mount of Moon shows a person's emotional side and thinking patterns, imagination, creativity, sensitivity, intuitions, maternal instincts, harmony in relationships, etc. A well-balanced mount gives all round success in life. An underdeveloped mount shows the person to be unimaginative, non-intuitive or emotionally cold. An overdeveloped mount shows the person to be too creative and imaginative, extremely maternal and intuitive, with strong attraction towards water bodies.

Mount of Mars: Mount of Mars is divided in two regions in the palm. The upper mars, also known as the active mars which depicts vitality, courage, aggression, straight-forwardness, leadership qualities, dynamism and drive. Mount of Pluto: The influence of this mount can be seen only in the old age. If this Mount is very prominent, then the person passes his old age happily. If a cross sign is found on this Mount, the person will die before the age of 45 in an accident. If the mount is too prominent, the person is found to be rude, illiterate and prodigal, and if the Mount is not prominent then the person would be unlucky.
