Early Life of Meghna Reddy
Meghna Reddy was born on October 24, 1975. Her family is from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. Meghna Reddy studied and completed her education at Bombay Scottish School and then pursued her education from St. Joseph's Convent, and later from Synedham College to continue higher degrees. In 1994, Reddy dropped out of the Miss India Contest as she would miss out on other things in life, and made headlines for her drastic decision. Because of this decision, she was further motivated to enter the glamorous profession of anchoring.
Career of Meghna Reddy
Meghna Reddy started her career as a VJ, who co-anchored the show named ‘Mangta Hai’ on Channel V during mid-nineties. In 2003, she worked in the Bollywood erotic thriller film ‘Boom’ but she left the movie and was replaced by Katrina Kaif. She was also featured in the National Geographic Cover titled August 1999-Global Culture. Later, she left for England during the height of her career for better opportunities. Currently, she lives in New York and models for mail catalogs such as Macy's. Meghna walked the ramp for celebrated fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, in New York where she got noticed and much appreciated. She was also the only Indian model walking the ramp, along with other international models, in the fashion show at Diane's exclusive Upper West boutique, New York. Furthermore, New York Times also chose Meghna Reddy as a brand new face and tagged her as Little Miss Reddy.
Personal Life of Meghna Reddy
Meghana Reddy got married to Ari Mionis, a real estate developer, on December 12 in 2008. Her husband works with large tracts of land in the Greek islands. She has two other siblings, Sushma Reddy and Sameera Reddy, who are also recognized celebrities in their respective fields of modeling and acting.
