She appears mostly in Bollywood movies; however she has also marked her presence in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films. She made her cinematic debut in the year 2002 through the movie "Maine Dil Tujhko Diya". This was followed by her appreciable performances in a number of Indian movies.

Early Life of Sameera Reddy
Sameera Reddy was born in Rajahmundry city of Andhra Pradesh on 14th December 1982. Her father, Chinta Poli Reddy (Telugu) was a businessman and her mother, Nakshatra (a Goud Saraswat Brahmin) was a microbiologist and was associated with an NGO. Sameera is the youngest of the three siblings. One of her sisters, Meghna Reddy, is former VJ and supermodel while the other, Sushma Reddy, is a model and Bollywood actress. Sameera completed her schooling from Bombay Scottish School at Mahim, Mumbai. She did her graduation from Sydenham College.

After completing her graduation, Sameera Reddy started her career in the entertainment world with a music video in the year 1996. She appeared in the video of the famed Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas`s song "Aur Aahista" from a music album. Her performance in the video got her noticed by the Bollywood and soon she was featured in the Hindi movie Maine Dil Tujhko Diya in 2002 as the lead actress. The movie paved her way of bagging a number of commercially successful Bollywood movies including Darna Mana Hai, Musafir, No Entry, Fool and Final, Race, De Dana Dan, Aakrosh and many more.

Sameera also starred in a number of South Indian movies. In 2008 she appeared in the Tamil film Vaaranam Aayiram alongside Surya Sivakumar, under the direction of Gautham Menon. In the movie Sameera portrayed the role of a confident yet down to earth girl and gained rare reviews. The movie was a blockbuster hit. Her other South Indian movies include Narasimhudu (Telugu), Aasal (Tamil), Varadhanayaka (Kannada) and others. Her ventures in Bengali film industry include films like Ami, Yasin Ar Amar Madhubala and Kaalpurush.

In the year 2012, Sameera judged the Miss Sri Lanka Online contest.
