Anaida was one of India’s first pop singers. Apart from singing she is also performer, actor, director, producer, multi-linguist, creative exponent of the fine arts, writer/poet and painter.

Anaida, Indian Singer Anaida`s introduction in the world of entertainment took place when she won the Indian Dance Championship. Before settling in the job of a radio jockey, she participated in many acting and choreographic competitions. She has the honour of being the first ever radio jockey in FM from India, under her belt. She was only 16 years old, when she released her first single, "Hotline". The single created waves throughout India and she was reckoned as a pop star. The success of "Hotline" was followed by the highest selling debut album, `Love Today Nahi Asaan`. `Love Today Nahi Asaan` also remains the first pop album choreographed by illustrious choreographer Saroj Khan. With the album Anaida earned the nomination for the best female vocalist for the song `Dil le Ley`.

Anaida possesses the excellent quality of performing both the dance along with the song in a very balanced manner. Through this quality of hers, she managed to catch the adoration of her listeners. She started delivering stimulating, breath taking shows throughout India. Media acknowledged her with the title "Princess of Pop". The song `Oova Oova` became a huge hit countrywide. The song for the best female vocalist earned her the second nomination. She has also been conferred the Viewer`s Choice Award.

After that an English single was also released by her. The single features new versions of two old classics `Fever` and `These Boots Are Made For Walking`. In the same year, Anaida rendered the title song DIVA at India`s first ever music awards ceremony, the `Diva` awards, where she sung the title song DIVA. Afterwards, Anaida started to widen up her purviews into the international arena. She attempted to create India`s first original album in association with a Syrian composer; and she ultimately succeeded in making the album.

Anaida, Indian Singer Anaida has released her albums in three languages. She had also bagged the honour of attending BMG`s conference on a worldwide basis. She attended the conference as the highest selling artist in India. She was invited to sing a song in the Greek composer/singer/ classical pianist Stefanos Korkolis`s album. He was very much impressed by the brilliant talent of Anaida. The end result was that, he wrote a song dedicated to her, titled Anaida. She along with Korkolis sang the song both in Greek and Hindi lyrics. The duo performed the song in Greece`s most popular TV channel.

On the eve of India`s 50th Independence, Anaida released her first ever patriotic song `Hum Sab Ek Hai`. The video of the song featured famous Bollywood film stars like Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan. She also produced some experimental projects like, "Sambhal Ke", which won the award of MTV Best Video. She also earned the honour of being selected by Walt Disney, when they decided to release the popular song Hakuna Matata for the animated film `Lion King` in Indian version. She sung the song as a duet along with Baba Sehgal.
With her next album, she took a giant leap by experimenting with her style of music-she released an album titled, `Chori Chori`. The success of this album was followed by her next one, `Kaachi Kali`. She has also lend her voice for many Bollywood movies like, `Chori Chori Chupke Chupke`, the English film `Bombay Boys` and for Dev Bengal`s film `Black is Black`.

Quest has been regarded as the most critically acclaimed songs rendered by her. This song was highly distinguished and truly made for the international audiences. Quest also fetched her international recognition as well as offers. With the single `Good Day to Die`, she was chosen to be the first female artist ever from India to be ushered in the highly esteemed music competition, `Budhha Bar`. After that Anaida released her first English maxi, titled `Quest` in countries like Greece, Portugal and other European countries.

Apart from this, Anaida has also sung for many South Indian films. `Piya Bina` has been regarded as the greatest hit by Anaida. Today she is established as a most cherished and successful performing artist, ever to have graced the entertainment world of India. Anaida`s new album, `Nayaa` evidently, comprises some of her poetic works.

She held her first ever art exhibition show casting her work of last 17 years. Persian miniature and calligraphy carvings on leather featuring Rumi and Omar Khayyam poetry and abstract inks on paper in Feb 2011 at AIFACS presenting yet a new side of her art.

Anaida is the name of a talent who has lent her voice for 11 different languages and has also bagged the honour of collaborating with the highest number of international artists in addition to high level international projects to her credentials. Such kind of acknowledgment has never been achieved by any Indian female pop singer yet.
