The 12th Khanda of Chapter Three of Chandogya Upanishad states about meditation on the Gayatri. According to it the Gayatri is everything. It is associated with everything that exists. Speech is essential the Gayatri as speech sings forth i.e. gaya ti and also protects traya te everything, whatever here exists. Gayatri is also the earth as everything existing here on this earth and does not go beyond. In human beings the Gayatri is also the body. The prana exists in the body and do not move beyond it. In man the body again acts as the heart that lies within it. Here the prana exists and does not go beyond it.

The Gayatri is essentially made of four feet, and possess six characteristics. It has been discussed in the Rig Veda. According to it the greatness of Brahman has been symbolised through the Gayatri. The Brahman that has been described and explained in the Gayatri is verily the space which covers the outer space of a man. The akasa that exists inside a person resides in the heart. It is omnipresent and does not change. It is the supreme truth that exists everywhere. It is eternal. One who is aware of this attains eternal and huge prosperity.
