Chandogya Upanishad is one of the oldest Upanishads written on the Vedic Brahmana period about ninth to eighth century BC. Chandogya Upanishad is associated with Sama Veda. It is the part of Chandogya Brahaman that contains ten chapters. The 11th Khanda of Chapter Three of Chandogya Upanishad states about the result of the meditation on the honey. It explains that once the sun has risen upwards, it does not set any more. It remains alone in the centre. According to this verse described in the khanda the sun does not rise or set in the Brahmaloka. One who is aware of the Brahma Upanishad and realises it for him the sun does not rise or set. For him it is day for ever. This doctrine was taught by Lord Brahma to Prajapati, from Prajapati to Manu, from Manu to his offspring. It was also narrated to Uddalaka Aruni by his father. A father can thus, explain the doctrine his eldest son who is worthy of being a disciple.
