Veerakeralampudur is a taluk located in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is an important pilgrimage centre with many temples located here.

Veerakeralampudur is located in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a taluk situated at an elevation of 101 meters above the sea level. The climate here is basically dry and hot. The town receives the southwest monsoon rains during the months of October to December. During the summers the maximum temperature goes upto 40 °C and a minimum of 26.3 °C. During the winters the maximum temperature ranges between 29.6 and 18 °C. Veerakeralampudur receives an annual rainfall is about 85 cm.

Agriculture here serves as the main source of income of the people residing here. The people here work in farm fields. Some of the crops grown here are paddy, tomato, onion, brinjal, green chilli, red chilli, tamarind, coconut. Veerakeralampudur is known for its sprawling coconut and paddy fields.

Veerakeralampudur is enclosed by two rivers Chittar River and Hanumanathi Rivers. These rivers unite here in this village and form the tributary to Thamirabarani River. The village is surrounded by villages like Achankuttam, Marukkalankulam, Keelakalangal, Melakalangal, Anaikulam, Kurichampatti, Karuvantha, Agaram and Kulaiyaneri.

Veerakeralampudur is an important pilgrimage centre visited by many devotees. Some of the important temples here are Arulmigu Navaneetha Krishna Swamy Temple, Arulmigu Uchimahali Amman Temple, Arulmigu Muppidathi Amman Temple, Arulmigu Vadakkuvasal Selvi amman Temple, Arulmigu Iruthalaya Eswarar Alayam and Arulmigu Karuppanna Swamy Temple. Sri Navaneethekrishna Swamy Temple Car Festival is a significant festival celebrated here on a grand scale with much enthusiasm and gaiety.

Besides the temples there are few churches here like the C.S.I. Church, Good Shepherd Assembly Church and R.C. Church visited by many Christsians.
